PhD Research Position

The interdisciplinary Fiction Meets Science (www.fictionmeetsscience.org) research consortium in northern Germany has a Ph.D. research opportunity with the “Sociology of Development and Knowledge Group”  at the Leibniz Center for Marine Tropical Research/ University of Bremen. The candidate will work within the sub-project ‘Narrating Science as a World-Making Activity: Sea Level Change in Singapore,” led by Prof. Anna-Katharina Hornidge.

Candidates with backgrounds in sociology, cultural studies, STS, environmental history, anthropology, human geography, comparative literature, and Southeast Asian Studies are welcome.

Deadline: April 20

The position is fully funded for three years in the German salary system. Questions about the German system, timeframe for the PhD, and possibility for extending funding beyond the initial three years will be answered during the interview process.
