Subject: Re: Honors Integrated Sciences Course
Dear Carolyn Barros:
I was interested in the Honors Program that you're developing at UTA and
would be happy to supply some materials out of our program at Georgia
Tech. We developed an interdisciplanry degree here several years ago
and offer a B.S. in Science, Technology, and Culture. The program has
been very successful and is beginning to attract students from across
the country. If you'd like, I can gather some syllabi, brochures, and
other miscellaneous academic debris and mail it to you. We always want
to learn about similar programs elsewhere.
We are also the hom of "Configuration: A Journal in Literature,
Science, and Technology" which is published by Hopkins. I'm the
book review editor for the journal and am certainly eager to learn of
potential contributors. (Martin Danahay, who is now in the English
Department --and who is a close friend-- wrote a review for us a while
back.)
I look forward to hearing from you.
All the best,
Alan
