Subject: Re: Permissions
Steve,
Here's a message via Laura Walls about a possible international SLS
conference:
- -Gustaaf Cornelis indicated he would like to help with international
publicity, and might be able to provide a site for an international
SLS conference in Brussels;
About the permissions, I coedited an anthology for SUNY in 1994 that
required us to get permission from about 6 or 8 journals; I don't think
any
charged fees, but that's in the humanities.
Good luck. Happy holidays.

Subject: Re: LITERATURE & SCIENCE at the MLA
Dear Alan, Thanks for your posting about the Literature and Science
Division at the MLA. I have had
it in mind to propose a session for the Literature and Science Division
on "Narrative and Science."
Would you be the appropriate person for me to send the proposal to?
Would, say, sometime next week
be OK? Thanks for the information. I hope all goes well--Kate Hayles
