If I might be permitted a small grumble: I just learned by accident
that
there was a conference over the past weekend at UCLA on science and the
humanities (NOT the one referred to in the subject line; that's in
Argentina this summer). That's just the sort of thing I would hope (and
expect) to see announced on this list (especially since the list is
operated from UCLA!).  Is there any way to improve coverage of such
events?
And (since it's over, and I missed it), did anyone attend, and if so,
what
was particularly interesting?
