Subject: proposed SLS session and call for poetry

I. SLS Panel Proposal
for the SLS 2000 meetings in Atlanta I would like to propose a session
on
"Poetry and/as New Media." I would be particuarly interested in papers
addressing poetry sites and resources on the Internet, contemporary
poets
composing in "new" media, and analysis of poetry using hypertext theory.

Deadline: March 14, 2000.

II. I am also relaying a call for poetry from Elizabeth Socolow, the
poetry
editor of Decodings. Note that poems should be sent to me and I'll
forward
them to her in batches.

Wanted: For Decodings, the newsletter of The Society for Science and
Literature: Poems about medicine or science; poems using medical or
scientific metaphors (or
concepts or images). Send labeled "To Elizabeth Socolow" at
suzanne.black@lcc.gatech.edu
