Subject: For those teaching Frankenstein this semester

We would like to invite anyone teaching Frankenstein (in any form) to
participate in a Message Board project hosted by Georgia Tech's School
of
Literature, Communication, and Culture. The board allows undergrad
students and teachers to post questions, ideas, and responses about
various
avenues of inquiry opened up by Mary Shelley's hideous progeny. It is
easy
to log on to the site and very easy to post, so it shouldn't require
much
extra effort to participate.

Instructions for participation are at
http://home.earthlink.net/~sonstroem/1101/webxwelcome.htm

It is our hope that the very project itself will, in self-reflexive
fashion, take on characteristics of Shelley's novel. That is, we hope
the
project raises questions about community, identity, and even
monstrosity. We currently have at least three instructors from
different
institutions participating in the project. The site can house many
more. Postings have started and will go till mid-October. Please feel
free to visit the site. If you have any questions, you can email either
Eric Sonstroem (eric.sonstroem@lcc.gatech.edu) or Ron Broglio
(ron.broglio@lcc.gatech.edu).

We look forward to your participation. Please pass on this message to
anyone you think would be interested.
