Subject: Wild Thoughts Magazine

About a year ago I started thinking that an online, cost-free, venue
for environmental writing might be something worth a lot of effort.
After a few false starts, and a lot of encouragement, and then
participation from friends and colleagues, and Wild Thoughts Magazine
is setting a date to begin publication.

Wild Thoughts (http://www.wildthoughts.org/) will be publishing
environmental fiction and non-fiction online free of cost and free of
paper. I'm very glad to announce that we will begin publication on
February 1st 2005.

We will begin publishing essays ranging from 600 to 2000 words twice
every week and authors retain all rights to their work. The magazine
will focus on all incarnations of environmental writing, and we're
currently running low on, and searching for, creative scientific pieces.

We are searching for content, of course, but we are also searching for
advice. If you are interested in this project, and would like to be
involved, either by submitting work, by giving us some advice, or by
giving us your time and effort, please let me know.

Professors: We have received several essays from some extremely
talented students. Please keep us in mind when students produce
interesting work, we hate to think of the extraordinary falling away
and never being read.

We're all very excited about the upcomming release of our magazine and
we hope you're excited too. We need your wild ideas and you wild
words. All of us at Wild Thoughts are looking forward to hearing from
you.

Thank you,
Hank Green, Maria Kute, and Craig Dugas
