Subject: Re: Panel for SLS meeting
I am sorry to take so long to respond to your note - my thesis
prospectus was due today so I have been under a bit of a crush. I am
very interested in being on your panel. I am doing an
interdisciplinary
PhD in Artificial Intelligence and Cultural Theory. I have been
creating a project that will fly as both a theoretical and an
engineering/scientific project. As such I have had the 'great divide'
pretty much inscribed on my body. I've learned a lot about what
actually separates the two and about the kind of strategies that can be
used to get over the division. I've written a couple of papers on the
topic as well, one of which was published in a theoretical journal and
one of which was given at a scientific workshop.
Please let me know if there's still space for me and you'd be
interested
in having me on board.
Thanks!
