An extra set (the whole lot) would be great. Let me know your mailing
charges, and I'll get a check right out. Thanks.

Lance,
I only have multiple copies of 1993 and 1995 abstracts, but I'm
charging
$5 each volume to cover the mailing cost basically. Otherwise, my
office
will be choked with cartons. Abstracts for 1992 (Atlanta) and 1994
(New
Orleans) sold out shortly after the conferences.
So if you want 93 and 94, send a check for $10.
Thanks for your interest.
Carol

Dear Frank,
I'm not Carol or Lance.
Andrew
Apparently all of these messages and replies are going to everyone on
litsci-l! I guess what this means is that if you want to reply
privately (if only to spare the rest of us from sorting through the
resulting messages), you need to avoid hitting the "r" option
(or however
your mail program handles these things), and instead note the address
you want to send to and send a separate, non-reply message to that
person.
There may be some more convenient way to reply, perhaps if you can edit
the
to: address of the respondent or something.
If you need to include the message, try saving the file (or hit the
"r"
key, include the original message ("~m" in unix mail
program),
and save the message as a file (i think ~s or ~w, but check your manual
or man page first) to get a file with the ">" or other
indicator of
original message in it), then edit the file separately (to strip out
headers) then mail as a separate message (in unix mailer, type
"mail user@somewhere.edu" and then type "~r
filename.of.message" to
include that file, and "~v" to edit (maybe there are
different
tilde escapes for editors other than vi, which is admittedly
primitive).)
Sorry to bother you with all this, especially the arcana regarding my
mail system, but it may help some avoid sending these messages in the
future
& might be worth adding to an FAQ or (better) the introductory
mailing
file.
